Events will be round robin groups of 3-5 players with the top two players advancing to single elimination. All matches will be best 3 out of 5, 11 point games.

Players:
If you have never played in tournament, then you are considered unrated. This tournament is designed to accommodate players of all levels. Unrated players are encouraged to enter. “B” players may be beginners, recreational level, and good “basement” players. If you have won the “B” event before you must sign up for the “A” event. “A” players should have tournament experience or are very good. If you are unsure which level you are, sign up for “B”. A member of the committee will warm up with you and move you to the “A” division if it is warranted.

Rules:
All USATT rules and regulations apply. Paddles must be USATT approved (Red on one side and black on the other). Wear dark shirt and shorts, tennis shoes or sneakers.

Equipment:
Only USATT approved equipment will be used. 8 Stiga tables, .40 mm 3 star orange balls. No drinks or gym bags will be allowed on playing surface.

Check-in:
You must check in at the control desk at least 30 min. prior to your starting time. The facility will be open at 9:00 a.m. If you leave the tournament site after you have checked in, you must notify the control desk or be liable to default. Drinks will be available on site.

Guy Boisse, Al Landry, Norm Berube. Referee: Richard Shea The tournament committee reserves the right to change any rule or policy in the interest of the tournament. The tournament committee reserves the right to disqualify any player for bad conduct, ineligibility, or any other reason. Decisions of the tournament committee are final. Results will be submitted to Ratings Central.Maine Games Eligibility Requirements: All athletes must be at least: 30-day resident of the state of Maine; OR a student attending a Maine school; OR an active member of a branch of the United States Military stationed in Maine. Proof of eligibility is the burden of the athlete. Athletes from New Hampshire or Vermont are eligible to compete for qualification purposes for the 2011 State Games of America; not for Maine Games awards, or records.

To Lewiston Armory:
Take Maine Turnpike Exit 80 (Lewiston). From the south, turn left onto Alfred Plourde Parkway. From north, turn right onto Alfred Plourde Parkway.
At 2nd set of lights turn left onto Webster Street. Proceed on Webster Street 1.8 miles to Central Ave. Turn right onto Central Ave.
The Lewiston Armory is 0.1 mile on right. Enter at rear of building.
From Main Street in Lewiston:
Take Sabattus St. At 2nd light turn left onto Central Ave.
